Issue:
Users have been experiencing a problem when attempting to use Entourage 2008 where a popup appears to display the error message, "The end of file was reached."
Reason:
The error message indicates that there is damage to an element in Entourage's database. The database stores your email, contacts, preferences, etc. The most common cause of this error is a damaged preference file for the currently selected identity. This preference file stores the settings for the accounts and other settings for the identity. This error occurs when Entourage tries to access the corrupted or missing data.
Resolution:
Quit Entourage. Press Options while opening Entourage. This will clean up and fix any errors by rebuilding the database.
